If there is a period of time you'd like to pause your automated Climate surveys, like for winter or summer break, you can use a survey mute. Please note that only district level administrators can access and change survey preferences, including survey mutes.
Step 1: From your district dashboard, click on the "District admin" option in your left hand navigation.
Step 2: Under your District admin menu, click on the "Survey preferences" option.
Step 3: On your Survey preferences page, click on the "Mute surveys" tab.
Step 4: Under the Mute surveys tab, click the green "Create" button.
Step 5: In the pop-up window, click the "Suggest a name" field and add a name for your survey mute. For example "Winter Break."
Pro-tip: Add your school year and term to make your list easier to navigate. This can be especially helpful when you have multiple mutes over multiple school years.
Step 6: Click "Target audience" and choose which audience you would like to mute surveys for. You can choose one or multiple audiences.
Pro-tip: If you would like to have different time periods for each of your audiences, you'll need to create one for each. When naming these, be sure to add the audience in the name of your mute. For example "SY 23/24 Winter Break - Staff."
Step 7: Once you've chosen your audience, you'll select the timeframe for your survey mute.
Your surveys will be paused during this time period meaning the audience you've selected will not receive survey requests and will not be able to complete surveys in their Satchel Pulse account.
Step 8: Click "Save" and now your survey mute is set. At the end of your survey mute, your surveys will resume on the cycle settings on your "Frequency and settings" tab.
Pro-tip: Once your mute is saved, you can check you survey schedule on the "Frequency and settings" tab to ensure your surveys will start on the date of your preferences.
You now have set up your survey mute. You'll see it in your list and you'll be able to edit your survey mute if necessary or even delete your survey mute to remove it.
